Pay Up App

Pay Up was a passion project I developed to solve a common issue in fantasy sports: managing and securing prize pools for peer-to-peer bets. Acting as an escrow platform, the app allowed users to invite friends, set bet amounts, and approve payouts once the bet was concluded—all through a clean, intuitive interface I designed and built using Swift and iOS development. While the app addressed a real need and gained interest, it was ultimately shut down due to federal internet gambling laws, preventing approval on the Apple App Store. This project taught me the critical importance of legal due diligence in launching products, along with invaluable skills in UI design, iOS development, and problem-solving—skills I’ve since applied to projects like the Our Community App. Despite its challenges, Pay Up was a rewarding learning experience that pushed me to grow as a developer and creative problem-solver.
